Good evening, Maya. You've got 4 things tonight.
After Grandma's dinner, start with the history outline. It's the biggest one and it's due Thursday.

Your coaching
Set skill by skill, not by grade. Ask for more help any time.
Your assignments
From what your teachers posted in Schoology (simulated in this demo). Nothing is reposted in Linelo.
Your work stays in Google Docs or Kami, and submissions stay in Schoology. Status here is what you report unless it says platform-confirmed.
Portfolio records
Writing you've reflected on. Each record links to files in Google Docs, Kami and Schoology.
Linelo helps students organize assignments, get started, study purposefully, and build the skills to manage their own learning. Its coaching gradually steps back as students demonstrate greater independence.
Coaching by skill
Each skill has its own level. You might plan on your own but still want help with a rubric. That's normal.
On your own and followed through Followed through with help Plan didn't work out
How levels change
Demo rules · provisional- Guided: step-by-step planning questions. Light support: brief hints and check-ins. Student-led: you start, and help stays one tap away.
- A skill moves one step toward Student-led when 3 of your last 4 tries show you did it on your own and followed through.
- It moves one step toward Guided when the plan didn't work out in 3 of your last 4 tries.
- Your grade level, how often you ask for help and time spent in the app don't change your level.
- If you ask for more guidance, Linelo won't reduce support for that skill until you choose to.
- These are placeholder rules for the prototype. They haven't been validated, and they don't measure ability.
Supports that never change
Accessibility supports stay on at every coaching level.
Week of Sep 27
Teacher assignments appear automatically. Add your own life around them.
Heads up
Tuesday is tight: you work 5–9 PM and have a Spanish quiz Wednesday. Linelo suggests doing Spanish practice on Monday.
Where things come from
Teacher assignments sync on their own. If a teacher changes a due date, it updates here too. Your personal items stay private, and teachers, the district and parents never see them.
Break a big assignment into steps
Pick a project. Linelo suggests steps, and you edit them. It never writes the work.
Why steps?
Big projects feel impossible when they're one line on a to-do list. Small steps with their own mini due dates make it clear what to do tonight.
Write a 3–4 page paper on one Harlem Renaissance figure. Use at least 3 sources, including one primary source. MLA format.
Pick something to review
Made from materials your teachers posted
Study Buddy only uses the assignment your teacher posted. It gives answers and explanations for review, but it won't help write papers or other work you turn in.

Coach
Planning help onlyWhat Coach does
- Helps you decide what to do first and plan a first step
- Asks what's stopping you, and matches help to the answer
- Helps you get back on track after a missed plan
- Explains writing skills: task words, claims, evidence, reasoning
- Sends you to Study Buddy for approved review material
- Points you back to your teacher, notes and textbook
What Coach won't do
- Write your thesis, outline, sentences or paragraphs
- Rewrite your paper or answer graded work
- Change a due date or promise an extension
- Import grades or keep a grade history
- Act as a friend or chat about your personal life
Coach vs. Study Buddy
Coach helps you plan. Study Buddy helps you review, using only material your teacher approved for review. Neither one writes papers, answers graded work or acts as a friend. Replies in this demo are scripted, not live AI.

Linelo help for your assignments
Every assignment follows your defaults unless you add an exception. Uploading a rubric or exemplar doesn't turn anything on by itself, and your settings always win. Other teachers are in the menu so you can see every assignment Maya has in this demo.

| The task feels too big | 19 |

Several students found the essay directions unclear. A quick walkthrough in class may help.

18 students now use fewer prompts. That counts as a promising sign only where their follow-through held steady (about 4 in 5). Where it dropped, Linelo offered more guidance. Levels use provisional demo rules and don't measure independence.

Washington Middle has lower use. Try a 20-minute advisory lesson on "Planning your week" from the teacher guide.
Counselor view
With the student's consent, a counselor could see progress on organization goals the student chooses to share. Linelo wouldn't hold 504 or IEP records or diagnoses.

Data we pull
| Data | Used? |
|---|---|
| Class names and schedules | Yes |
| Assignment titles, instructions, due dates | Yes |
| Turned in / returned status | Not in this demo Platform confirmation would appear only from a working Schoology integration. Today every status is the student's own report and is labeled that way. |
| Posted directions, rubrics and exemplars | Only for uses the teacher allows Each use (planning, writing coaching, exemplar, rubric check) has its own teacher switch. |
| Review material (study guides, vocab lists, lesson examples) | Yes, for Study Buddy only Only when the teacher allows review. Never graded work. |
| Gradebook (PowerSchool) | Not imported No averages and no grade history. Check my grade is just a link. A student may choose to type a score during reflection; this prototype keeps it on screen only and doesn't save, export or count it. |
| Teacher comments | Not imported Students may describe feedback in their own words or keep a link to it in Schoology. Linelo doesn't read linked comments. |
| Class work set to finish at home (carry-over) | Teacher setting + student report The teacher marks it to finish at home, and the student reports how much is done. Linelo doesn't open worksheets, read answers or detect blank questions. |
| Essays and other student writing | Not imported Stays in Google Docs, Kami and Schoology. The portfolio keeps links and file names, not copies. |
| Personal calendar items students add | Private to student |
| Class schedule and "where I stopped" notes (optional) | Private to student Entered by the student and kept on the student's device. Block names, times, days and course matches only. No room numbers, diagnoses or school records. Not shared with teachers, parents or the district. |
| Focus sessions (optional timer) | Private to student Goal, timer length and the student's own check-in stay on the student's device. No focus scores, attention ratings or minute-by-minute activity go to teachers, parents or the district. Linelo doesn't monitor other tabs or collect diagnoses. |

To be definedThe Linelo™ promise
Linelo helps students organize assignments, get started, study purposefully, and build the skills to manage their own learning. Here is what it will never do.
- Answers only for review. Study Buddy uses only material the teacher approved for review. It never answers graded work, even if it's relabeled as practice.
- Students report their own progress. For class work that carries over, students say how much is done. Linelo doesn't open student work, read answers or detect blank questions.
- Writing stays the student's. Linelo teaches writing skills and offers blank organizers, but it never writes a thesis, outline, sentences or paragraphs, and never rewrites a paper.
- No gradebook. Linelo doesn't import grades from PowerSchool, calculate averages or keep a grade history. Check my grade is just a link. Students may choose to mention a score while reflecting on returned work. It's never required.
- No companionship. No personality chat, no streak guilt, no "I miss you."
- No ads, no data sales. Student data is used only to help that student plan.
- Personal life stays private. Work shifts, clubs and family events students add are never shown to teachers, the district or parents.
- Support steps back, skill by skill. Coaching decreases as students show readiness over several tries. Students can ask for more at any time, and accessibility supports are never reduced.
